What Motivated Phos Site to create a Website Builder?
During college, our founder, Grant Albright, was building a website for his church. Grant wanted somethingto build a basic website that the church could maintain after he graduated. Nothing existed so he built a tool for them and Phos Site was born.
There are thousands of website builders, what makes us special?
Our primary focus is to simplify web design. Ideally, anyone who can type can use Phos Site. Vast majority of tools assume that you have a keen eye for web design. We want to help those who have zero knowledge of web design make something they, and their organization, can be proud of.
Phos Site?! Like the chemical???
Phos, is a Greek word that conveys the meaning of light 🔆 and luminous. This word appears in Matthew 5:14 when Jesus says that you are the Phos of the world and that a city on a hill cannot be hidden. I want your church, non-profit, business, etc to be a light and your online presence is one aspect of this.
The "Team" behind Phos Site
Using Team is a stretch since Phos Site is just a single guy, that's me, Grant Albright! 👋 Here is a little bit about me and why I started Phos Site.
I started following Christ at a church camp when I was 13, then being baptized later that year in a horse trough while donning my Batman swimming trucks. Fast forward, I’ve now been a Christian 10 years later. I felt like God called me to start Phos Site to help small churches, non-profits, and businesses build websites.
It's amazing God's faithfulness and grace over these 10 years. I’m excited to see what he does in the remaining years of my life and in the next. I have plenty of cool God-moments in my life that I’d loved to share. Just shoot me an email at grant.albright@phossite.com
